Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated tests to ensure product quality and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, define testing strategies, and help improve the overall QA process. This position is ideal for a technically skilled individual who has a passion for quality and a deep understanding of automation testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Cypress
  • Collaborate with the development and product teams to understand project requirements and create testing strategies.
  • Create and execute automated tests for both frontend and backend components of the application.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous feedback on build quality.
  • Develop and maintain test data and environments needed to support automated test execution.
  • Identify, report, and track bugs, and work closely with developers to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Perform manual testing when necessary, particularly for feature acceptance and bug triages
  • Continuously improve testing practices, frameworks, and coverage to reduce defect rates and increase product reliability.
  • Stay updated with emerging QA trends, best practices, and tools to help improve the QA process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance with a focus on automation testing.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and Typescript for automation scripting. Bonus points for Python knowledge.
  • Strong experience with test automation tools including Playwright and Cypress
  • Familiarity with behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience in testing both web applications and APIs (REST, SOAP) using automated tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications.
    Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker).
